History

Salon Cinandre takes its name from the storied NYC salon CINANDRE. As written in the NY Times on CINANDRE, “Hairdresser name‐dropping, like that of designers or restaurants, is always a favorite sport around New York. The name that, bright. young things have been bandying alyout for the last couple of years is Cinandre (See NAHN‐dreh). The shop at 21 East 57th Street certainly had no Ver sailles‐like decor or pool for pedicures. In fact, its customers joked about its lack of amenities, but like the lines at hit movies, they cheerfully endured hardships with rare camaraderie. ”

When you walk in to Salon Cindandre through the gardens of the Brandywine Square courtyard, you become part of the history and story of Cinandre.
